Boule de Neige (Calot 1867) Boule de Neige - This ancient French variety was introduced by Calot in 1867 and survives due to it’s prolific bloom production. It's blooms are nearly as large as those of Festiva maxima with which it blooms nearly at the same time. However, while it has the same prominent red markings in the center of the flower the flowers are also accented by a golden glow from the stamens at the center of the blooms.
