Addie Tischler (Tischler 1987)
Most lovely peony selected by visitors to Bob Tischler’s peony fields, seedling #8392 went on to be named for Bob’s wife Addie. This mid-late blooming double blush peony has 7" blooms on strong, straight, thick 30" stems. The heavy flower substance adds to the flowers resistance to rain effects. The foliage is a nice dark green color. It was my favorite blush peony of all those blooming in our fields in 2009, I just love it's balanced beauty. Plant in full sun.

Alexander Fleming (1950)
Fragrant, bright pink, large double, sweet scent, very floriferous, an outstanding and very fragrant midseason variety. At 38" tall it has plenty of stem length to be used as a cut flower variety and is often used to provide that wonderful peony fragrance in a bouquet with varieties lacking in a strong scent of their own. It's extra vigor is admired by all who grow it as it provides plenty of fragrant blooms to share with friends and family. Plant in full sun.

This early blooming hybrid has a semi-double glossy, crimson red flower that have been described as cardinal red. The flowers are held on 24 - 30" stems with dark glossy green foliage and hold the cup shaped flowers upright. The vivid color does not fade until petal fall. A cross between Marie Jacquin and P. lobata (peregrina) it is one of the famous hybrids of Dr. Saunders. The garden display created when in bloom is incredible. If I was limited to only 10 peonies this one would be included in that special group.
